Results of Proper Cultural Practices

Foundation is very important in turfgrass growth. Our cultural practice (solid tining, topdressing, aerification and proper water management) have developed a strong root structure on the greens. The more roots we see the better the turf can adapt to stress (heat and cold). The last couple of years we have grassed or plugged many areas on the greens. Some areas are in need of attention, but overall we are right on track. The pictures below display the significance of a strong foundation.
